Stroll for Kids

Stroll for Kids is an annual outdoor fundraiser that, In 2017, raised money to support the needs of the MCH by helping to purchase high priority medical equipment for the departments of Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Cranio-Facial Surgery and the NICU. As a part of this family event's celebrations, I facilitated a science based, drop-in friendly, art lesson. Children learned about absorption during a salt painting activity where they wrote their names out in glue, sprinkled it with salt, dropped colored water onto it and watched how it absorbed.
